The Schuyler Blanket Project

bringing comfort to bereaved parents one square at a time

For Julie June 10, 2011

Filed under: Uncategorized — Tammany @ 8:14 pm

Julie is a nurse who happened to care for our own Melinda after a recent surgery. While she was in the hospital, Melinda worked on squares for our blankets. Julie asked her what she was making. After Melinda explained the Schuyler Blanket Project, Julie shared that her grandson, Aiden, had died of SIDS when he was just a few months old. Melinda has asked that we make a blanket for Julie.

We are collecting 36 8×8″ squares in blues, greens, and neutrals. They should be made with soft, washable fibers. Squares are due by June 30. Please contact Tracey if you would like to pledge to this blanket. Thank you.
